Phyna, the 2022 Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) winner, says she has been invited by the Nigerian police over her alleged failure to return a rented wig.

The reality TV star was recently accused by a hair vendor of renting a high-end wig but kept it beyond the terms.

Phyna initially denied the allegations but later admitted renting the wig.

She claimed that the wig was returned after she was called out but the hair vendor rejected it.

Phyna said her younger sister informed her about the presence of two police officers, the hair vendor, and an unidentified woman at her house.

She said they delivered a letter from the Lagos police, specifically from the divisional police officer (DPO) in Ogudu.

She wondered why the police had to be involved, adding that she would honour the invitation.

“Yesterday, my younger sister called me and said I have visitors in my house. I asked who they were and she said two policemen, the hairstylist and one woman. I asked who the woman was but she said she does not know the woman,” she said.

“And they dropped a letter. Because it is from the police I want to know what to do. It reads, ‘This is the Nigeria Police. Invitation to the police.’ They now put my name, my address. Then it continued, ‘From the DPO Nigeria Police Ogudu.’ I do not know where Ogudu is, but I will find out.”

Since winning BBNaija in 2022, Phyna has been embroiled in several social media controversies.

In November, she got into a clash with a police officer in Lagos during a stop-and-search operation.
