Tensions flared in Wuse II, Abuja, on Friday morning when three individuals, suspected to be part of a taxi robbery scheme known as “one chance,” allegedly assaulted a woman in her vehicle near Chocolate Mall, stealing two mobile phones from her.
Witnesses reported that the suspects tried to flee the scene but were pursued by bystanders, who apprehended them and inflicted severe beatings before police arrived.
The police’s timely intervention thwarted a potential lynching, leading to the suspects’ arrest and subsequent custody.
Fortunately, the victim, though visibly shaken, emerged from the encounter without physical injuries.
