Police Apprehend Eight Armed Criminal Bandits In Kaduna

In a recent breakthrough, the police have apprehended eight armed criminal bandits aged between 19 and 27, who have been responsible for the kidnapping and terrorizing of residents in Kaduna state.

The State Commissioner of Police, Musa Yusuf Garba, issued a directive to enhance security measures, particularly as the yuletide season approaches.

Amidst the festive preparations, the Divisional Police Officers and Tactical Commanders, following CP Musa Yusuf Garba’s directive, took proactive measures resulting in the arrest of the suspects.

On the 17th of November, 2023, at approximately 0200 hours, police operatives from the Divisional Headquarters Maigana conducted a targeted operation at the criminals’ hideout in Nuba farm.

The operation led to the apprehension of individuals involved in various criminal activities, including the abduction of Hon. Kawu Ibrahim Yakasai on the 25th of August, 2023, and the recent kidnapping of Adamu Mu’azu from Bagaldi village.

Identified Suspects and Affiliations
The arrested individuals are as follows:

Bello Suleiman, 20 years old

Ismail Abubakar, 20 years old

Usman Suleiman, 20 years old

Umar Suleiman Gero, 19 years old

Isah Lawal, 20 years old – all from Farin Kasa village in Soba LGA, Kaduna state.

Abubakar Bello, 27 years old, from Sakaru village in Soba LGA

Ibrahim Mu’azu, 20 years old, from Bagaldi village in Soba

The Divisional Police Officer, leading the operation, exhibited commendable efficiency.

The preliminary inquiry revealed the suspects’ involvement in the aforementioned abductions, with the gang leader, alias Hanazuwa, still at large but under pursuit.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Musa Yusuf Garba, expressed appreciation for the successful operation and urged the operatives to maintain vigilance, especially during the upcoming festive season.

He also called upon the public to heighten their security awareness, cautioning that criminal elements are active and pose a threat during this period.
