Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has expressed confidence in securing victory in the ongoing governorship election, describing the process thus far as peaceful and orderly.
The governor spoke shortly after casting his vote at Sagba Agbogunde Ward 2, Unit 9, in Ede North Local Government Area, where he arrived at approximately 8:00 a.m., accompanied by a large entourage of supporters.
Governor Urges Mass Turnout
Following the exercise, Adeleke called on voters across the state to come out en masse and exercise their franchise, emphasising the importance of protecting their votes until the completion of the electoral process.
He described the election as a crucial opportunity for the people of Osun to determine their leadership for the next four years and appealed to all citizens to remain peaceful and law-abiding throughout the voting and collation stages.
Monitoring the Process
The governor further urged voters to remain at polling units and monitor the process in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), ensuring transparency and credibility in the outcome.
“I am optimistic about the peaceful conduct of this election and confident in my chances of emerging victorious,” Adeleke stated.
