The All Progressives Congress (APC) National Working Committee has officially confirmed Engr. Toyin Okoro as its flagbearer for Ekiti South Federal Constituency I in the 2027 general elections.
Mr Okoro has since collected his nomination form from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), signalling the formal commencement of his electoral campaign. Full-scale campaigning is scheduled to begin in August 2026, in accordance with the electoral umpire’s timetable.
In a statement released by his campaign office, the APC candidate expressed gratitude to the party’s NWC, constituency leaders, and the Ekiti State Government under Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji for their unwavering backing.
“With your continued support, we are poised for a successful, peaceful, and issue-based engagement with our people,” he said. “I now look forward to presenting my stewardship and vision to the good people of Ekiti South Federal Constituency I, as I seek your mandate to serve with integrity, competence, and dedication.”
Mr Okoro noted that his pre-campaign consultations would prioritise critical issues affecting the constituency, including inclusive development, infrastructure, youth empowerment, education, healthcare, and accountable representation at the National Assembly.
He urged party faithful, stakeholders, and residents to rally behind a campaign “defined by unity, respect, and ideas that deliver real results for our people.”
