In a heartfelt display of gratitude, NUJ Zone A extends its thanks to His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for his generous donation of 700 bags of 5KG rice for Ramadan welfare to members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) in Zone A (Northwest).

This benevolent act, orchestrated by the office of the National Security Adviser through the Special Assistant to the President on Print Media, underscores President Tinubu’s unwavering commitment to supporting the welfare of journalists in the region.

Underlining his recognition of the indispensable role journalists play in society, President Tinubu’s contribution of 700 bags of 5KG rice for Ramadan welfare to members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) in Zone A (Northwest) is a testament to his dedication to their well-being.

Ensuring fairness and inclusivity, each state council within NUJ Zone A, encompassing Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Sokoto, and Zamfara States, was allocated 100 bags of rice, guaranteeing equal distribution among members.

The NUJ Zonal office orchestrated the seamless transportation and distribution of the rice, ensuring prompt delivery to journalists across the region, thereby facilitating timely access to essential provisions.

This welfare initiative marks a significant milestone for journalists in the region as it signifies the first direct support received from the presidency, showcasing President Tinubu’s commitment to prioritising the welfare of journalists under his administration.

Expressing gratitude for President Tinubu’s benevolence, Malam Tukur Muhammad Umar, Vice President of NUJ Zone A, commended the president’s proactive stance in recognising and addressing the needs of journalists, emphasising the importance of sustaining such support in the future.
