Unions in Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund NSITF have embarked on mass protest barricading the entrance to the National Headquarters denying both management and other staff entrance.
The union on Friday 10th March ,2023 accuses the Minister, Chris Ngige and the new management of planned to divert three years unpaid entitlements promised by the immediate past leadership, with the intention of the Minister of Labour and Employment going away with the funds.
The rowdy situation along the central area of Abuja of the National office has created gridlock around the area.
The workers demanded outright payment before the end of this administration.
They have accused the Minister of turning the agency into his personal assets .
Efforts to reach out to the union leaders and management proves futile.
