The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) have announced a nationwide strike, effective immediately from midnight today.

The decision, endorsed by the Joint National Executive Council (NEC) of the NLC and TUC, aims to address pressing concerns faced by workers across Nigeria.

In response to the strike call, all affiliates and state councils of the NLC/TUC have been instructed to issue circulars for maximum compliance. These circulars will be made available at the National Secretariats or shared via the NEC and CWC Whatsapp Platforms to ensure widespread understanding and participation.
Updates on the progress of the strike will be provided as developments unfold, reaffirming the commitment of the NLC and TUC to the welfare and rights of Nigerian workers and the people they represent.
The united front of the NLC and TUC in this nationwide strike sends a powerful message, demonstrating the strength of collective action and solidarity among Nigerian workers.
