A statement issued and signed by the Director of Public Affairs, E.N. Anyigor, confirmed the appointments, which take immediate effect.

Other confirmed officers include:

· Mrs. Fortune Ihua-Maduenyi – Secretary of Protocol and Inter-Parliamentary Relations
· Asien Fatima Nana – Secretary, Zonal Liaison Offices
· Engr. Bashir Layya – Secretary, Estates and Works
· Siaka Wahab Sadia – Deputy Clerk (Legislative), House of Representatives
· Dauda Bulama Bukar – Deputy Clerk (Administration), House of Representatives

The Commission had earlier elevated Mr. Sidi and the other officers to their respective positions in an acting capacity on 20th January 2026. Tuesday’s confirmation formalises their substantive status, bringing stability to the legislative bureaucracy ahead of the next parliamentary session.

The NASC reiterated its commitment to upholding merit-based appointments and ensuring the effective functioning of the National Assembly’s administrative machinery.
