In a somber development that has left the Abuja community in shock, Blessing Karami, a 26-year-old student of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), was reported missing after she left her workplace in Garki, Abuja, on September 11, 2023.

Her disappearance sparked an intense search, led by her elder brother, Genesis Moses Karami, who journeyed from Kaduna to Abuja to find his beloved sister.

The search for Blessing took a devastating turn when her decomposing body was discovered in the dense bushlands of the Karmo district in the Federal Capital Territory.

This grim discovery has sent shockwaves through the community, leaving her family and friends in mourning.

In the quest for answers surrounding Blessing’s disappearance and subsequent demise, the police took action by arresting her boyfriend, Aminu, for questioning.

This development adds a layer of complexity to the tragic story, as investigators seek to unravel the circumstances leading to her untimely death.

Genesis Karami, the determined elder brother, received a mysterious call that initially appeared to provide details about his sister’s whereabouts.

However, the call turned out to be a cruel hoax, with the caller providing accurate information about Blessing’s clothing on the day she went missing.

The family’s ordeal was further compounded as the caller continuously changed locations, thwarting their efforts to locate Blessing.

On Wednesday, September 20, Genesis Karami confirmed the devastating news to the press.

He and his search party had finally found Blessing’s decomposed remains in the Karmo district.

The extent of decomposition indicated that Blessing had likely been deceased for several days, intensifying the heartbreak for her grieving family.

As the news of Blessing Karami’s tragic fate spread, the community has come together to mourn her untimely passing.

Friends, family members, and acquaintances have taken to social media platforms to express their condolences and share their memories of Blessing.

This heart-wrenching incident serves as a stark reminder of the fragility of life and the importance of community support during times of tragedy.

While Blessing’s family grapples with the painful loss of their beloved daughter and sister, the community stands united in solidarity and support.
