In a stunning turn of events, Former President Muhammad Buhari’s mimic, Obinna Simon, popularly known as MC Tagwaye, has announced his aspiration for the AMAC chairmanship race.
This is causing ripples of excitement throughout the political landscape.
The news was revealed by Mr. Moses Kaser, Director General of the Nigeria Youth Political Agenda (NYPA), during a press conference in Abuja on Tuesday.

Simon’s entry into the race has sparked a wave of enthusiasm among the youth and stakeholders in AMAC, positioning him as a strong contender for the 2025 election.

NYPA, a youth-centric political organization, played a pivotal role in persuading Simon to throw his hat into the ring.

Speaking as the coordinator of the Obinna Campaign Council, Kaser expressed unwavering confidence in Simon’s ability to secure the party’s nomination and emerge victorious in the chairmanship race.

He highlighted Simon’s unwavering dedication to youth empowerment and his visionary plans to establish cottage industries that would revolutionize the industrial landscape of Abuja.

With Simon’s emergence, the AMAC chairmanship race is expected to become more fiercely competitive and focused on critical issues, as the young aspirant injects fresh ideas and energy into the political arena.
Born in Katsina State, Obinna Simon has gained widespread recognition for his exceptional talent as a mimic and his remarkable ability to replicate the speech patterns, tone, and demeanor of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
Despite his Anambra State origins, Simon has mastered the Hausa language, earning accolades for his uncanny portrayal of the former President’s distinctive style and charisma.
