Mastru Mutairu, a 30-year-old man, was caught actively vandalizing Carter Bridge railings at about 3:15am on Wednesday.
He was caught after a motorist informed the police of a vandal on Carter Bridge.
Officers from Ebute-ero Division swiftly moved in.
Mutairu, on sighting police officers, took to his heels but was arrested.
