Member representing Karu/Gitata Constituency, Hon. David Maiyaki Ashayi has condemned the recent attack on Takalafiya and Karafa communities both in Gitata district, Karu local government Area of Nasarawa State on Friday, 12th May, 2023 at about 4:30am by suspected herdsmen.

The attack left several killed and injured. In particular, a man of God was killed.

The pastor in-charge of the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA), Takalafia in Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, Rev. Daniel Dankeffi was killed in the attack. This includes 32 people that were killed along with 50 houses that were set ablaze.

Hon. David says his heart goes out to Takalafiya and Karafa communities who are under Gitata Electoral ward of Panda Development Area in Karu Local Government Area and therefore call for the relevant authorities for intervention to help salvage the situation for peace and tranquility to take its cause among the people.
