Liverpool’s woes continue on Saturday as they were demolished 0-3 at Wolves to fizzle out their hope of a premier league trophy this season.
Wolves opened scoring in just five minutes into the game from Joel Matip’s own goal.
Matip scored an unlucky own goal after he deflected a shot which went into his own net.
The goalkeeper had made a superb save, but the ball rebounded off him out to Craig Dawson, who fired the ball into the roof of the net.
On 67th minute, Darwin Nunez came close to scoring but his poor attempt from close range ended up in the gloves of Jose Sa.
Four minutes later Adama Traore produced a great pass that found Ruben Neves inside the penalty area, who took advantage of the situation to rifle a shot into the bottom right corner to make it 3-0 for the homers.
On added time, Adama Traore found some space to dink a cross from the side into the box, but it needed to be more precise to threaten the opposition.
