Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has approved the appointment of Barrister Naymarie Musa-Akande as the new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Kaduna Industrial and Finance Company Limited (KIFC).
Musa-Akande, a legal practitioner, politician, and development expert, previously served as the All Progressives Congress (APC) Woman Leader in the state.
She also held advisory positions in previous administrations, including Special Assistant on Legal and Political Matters and Technical Assistant to the Governor.
A dual-qualified legal professional in Nigeria and the United Kingdom, Musa-Akande brings to the role significant experience in civil and commercial litigation, corporate transactions, and international law. She holds an LLB, BL, and an MSc in International Development, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Leadership and Strategic Studies at the Nigerian Defence Academy.
Governor Sani, while congratulating her and other newly appointed executives, charged them to be “adaptive, innovative, and competitive” in driving the administration’s economic transformation agenda.
The governor also named Ahmed Shehu Haruna as Acting Managing Director of the Kaduna Markets Development and Management Company. Haruna, a financial consultant and chartered accountant, is currently the Special Adviser to the Governor on Economic Matters and previously worked with KPMG and other international consulting firms.
Ibrahim Abdulkarim Adamu was appointed as the Managing Director of the Kaduna State Livestock Regulatory Authority. Adamu, a seasoned administrator and financial expert, formerly served as the MD of Kaduna Markets Development and Management Company.
Also appointed is Ibrahim Yusuf, who takes over as Managing Director of the Kaduna Ranch Development Company Limited. Yusuf, a livestock and dairy expert, has led several agricultural projects focused on resolving farmer-herder conflicts and enhancing livestock productivity.
Governor Sani said the appointments were part of ongoing efforts to reposition key state-owned enterprises for improved performance and service delivery.
He concluded by praying for divine guidance for the appointees as they assume their respective roles.
