For Barrister Nyesom Nzenwo Nyesom CON, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory FCT, the political gymnastics and influence that manifested in Rivers, the entire South South state has gradually debuted in the nation’s city.

Abuja’s criminal hideouts vanishing as Tinubu declares ‘Nigeria is working again’

The recent local government elections held on February 21 has brought to an end the issue of geopolitical politics to national politics, with the outcome of the last elections.

The All progressives Congress APC, his sympathetic party won five out of the six local governments, and even the one won by PDP was his camp in Gwagwalada.

Not only winning elections only, his decisions to embark on a “thank you tour” to the six area councils is novel in recent times.

This was a conviction that gone were those days politicians win elections and forget about the electorates that voted them in till the next elections.

Wike’s devise a repeat of what he did in his home state of Rivers recently when he embarked on a “thank you tour ” of all the local government areas and stakeholders who voted for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2023, and charged them to do same in 2027.

Wike has not only changed the narrative of Nigerian politics by embarking on this exercise, but opened another chapter and political development has commenced in the country.

This has again portrayed the electorates , voters and supporters as the integral part of the democratic process in the country, unlike what was prevalent before now .

The FCT Minister who campaigned vigorously that led to the victory of APC in the FCT , just like what happened in Rivers in 2023, also crowned it up with infrastructural development in all areas .

With high respect for the electorates and the traditional institutions in the FCT unlike the previous order, he impressed on the populace of “no winner , no vanquish” in the February 21 local government elections in the FCT.

Elated by the positive development and outcome of the results , the stakeholders, traditional class , party stalwarts and supporters of the government filed out in large numbers to receive the indefatigable FCT Minister, Barrister Nzenwo Nyesom Wike CON.

The “thank you tour ” which began from AMAC, Bwari , Kuje, Abaji, Kwali and ended in Gwagwalada with recognition for the traditional class through elevation to first class status going forward.

The over one week exercise carried out by the Minister has further convinced the people of FCT of government of the people, by the people and for the people as the basis of democratic dispensation.

With glaring dividends of democracy staring the face of Abuja residents and indigenes, no doubt voting for APC, has been the best thing that has happened to the area.

According to them, the outcome of the results will attract more development in all areas to the FCT and the six area councils.

They all pledged to continue to support the Wike led administration in all elections going forward, as represented by the traditional class, opinion leaders , political leaders among others .

It is non debatable that the Minister of FCT, aside capturing the South South states , has also registered his popularity in the nation’s city for the All progressives Congress APC in the country.

Supporting further the vision and mission of Barrister Nzenwo Nyesom Wike CON for a good and virile Nigeria will be the best that will happen to the country.
