In a resolute stance against the wave of kidnappings plaguing Kaduna, Mrs. Oluremi Tinubu, wife of President Bola Tinubu, advocates for the implementation of capital punishment for perpetrators.

Mrs. Tinubu emphasises the urgent need to root out those responsible for the abduction of school children, stating firmly that decisive action is long overdue.

Following the disturbing abduction incident at LGEA Primary School, Kuriga (1), Chikun Local Government Area, where 285 pupils and teachers were abducted by terrorists during the morning assembly, Mrs. Tinubu’s call for stringent measures gains momentum.

Addressing the press, Mrs. Tinubu urges state governors and lawmakers to swiftly enact laws imposing harsh penalties on kidnappers, echoing the sentiment that leniency is no longer an option.

Expressing her dismay at the audacity of the perpetrators and their heinous acts against innocent children, Mrs. Tinubu advocates for the ultimate penalty, asserting that those responsible deserve nothing less than capital punishment.

Characterising the kidnappers as cowardly and devoid of humanity, Mrs. Tinubu condemns their actions unequivocally, urging collective action to eradicate such depravity from society.

With a background in lawmaking, Mrs. Tinubu underscores the urgency for swift and decisive action from both governors and lawmakers, stressing that the time for rhetoric has passed, and concrete measures must be taken to protect the nation’s children.
