The Vice Chairman of Jaba Local Government Area in Kaduna State, Hon. Mustapha Danladi Babaladi, has demonstrated commitment to youth empowerment by supporting 25 young people with a cash support of ₦10,000 each. The event, which took place at the local government headquarters in Kwoi, reflects his dedication to uplifting the lives of the younger generation during these challenging times.
Speaking with Elanza News, during the exercise, Hon. Babaladi described the gesture as a divine responsibility and a duty to humanity. According to him, human beings have a duty to assist one another, especially in difficult times. “leadership is not only about policy-making but also about demonstrating kindness and compassion to the people being served” Hon. Babaladi stated.
He emphasised that true development is achieved when leaders extend a helping hand to those in need, especially the youth who remain the backbone of every society. Hon. Babaladi also used the occasion to call on other public office holders, political leaders, entrepreneurs, and prominent figures in the society to invest in the lives of young people. He stated that sustainable development cannot be achieved by government alone, but through collective efforts by individuals who are willing to empower others.
According to him, successful businessmen, politicians, and community leaders have a moral and social obligation to contribute to the growth and development of the society through youth empowerment initiatives. He urged stakeholders to see youth development as an investment that secures a better future for Jaba LGA, Kaduna State, and Nigeria as a whole.
Addressing the beneficiaries, Hon. Babaladi called on the youth, as well as other young people across Jaba LGA, to embrace patriotism, discipline, and law-abiding conduct. He urged them to stay committed to education, skill development, and productive ventures instead of being distracted by vices that could undermine their future. He noted that the progress of Jaba LGA, Kaduna State and Nigeria at large depends heavily on the character and actions of its youth. “by being responsible citizens, young people can contribute to a greater and more united society, the future of Jaba LGA, Kaduna State, and indeed Nigeria, rests in the hands of the younger generation” Hon. Babaladi said.
The beneficiaries expressed deep appreciation to Hon. Babaladi for the intervention, describing it as timely and life-changing. They stressed that the gesture has restored their hope and motivated them to work harder in building a better future for themselves.
One of the beneficiaries, visibly elated, described Hon. Babaladi as a compassionate leader who understands the struggles of the youth and is always willing to lend a helping hand. “We thank you so much, Honourable,” the beneficiaries echoed in appreciation.
Lastly, the beneficiaries also pledged their continued loyalty and support for the leadership of Hon. Larai Sylvia Ishaku, Governor Uba Sani, and the All Progressives Congress (APC) government.
Over the years, Hon. Mustapha Danladi Babaladi has built a reputation as a leader deeply committed to service, humility, and grassroots development. His empowerment programme reaffirms his vision of building a stronger Jaba LGA through inclusive leadership.
