The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has revealed its strategy for the 2025 Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise, offering eligible Nigerians another chance to register ahead of the elections.
This information was communicated on INEC’s website on Sunday.
The registration process will unfold in two stages. The initial phase begins with online pre-registration on August 18, 2025, available via INEC’s official portal: www.cvr.inecnigeria.org. Voters can complete their registration digitally before confirming it in person.
From August 25, 2025, in-person registration will be available at all INEC Local Government Area (LGA) offices and selected centres nationwide. This registration will occur from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
The 2025 CVR initiative aims to increase voter engagement ahead of the next general elections. INEC advises applicants to check its official channels for updates on registration requirements and guidelines.
