Hungarian Delegation Visits, Inspect Projects At Catholic Diocese of Sokoto

A team of researchers anf also a humanitarian initiative, from the government of Hungary, called  “Hungary Helps”has  visited the Catholic Diocese of Sokoto to inspect some of the ongoing projects supported by the organization.

The Hungarian team warmly received by the Diocesan Chancellor Very Revd. Fr. Nuhu Iliya and the Diocesan Project Coordinator, Fr.Jude Okpanachi on behalf of the Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Most Rev. Matthew Hassan Kukah toured various sites where impactful developmental efforts are being carried out in partnership with the Diocese.

Members of the team; comprise David, Daniel, Callum, and Nicholas. They visited  St. Patrick’s Schools in Illela, where they were welcomed by the Director, Fr. Solomon Chieve. who guided them through the academic and infrastructural progress made in the school.

The Hungary Help team also checked the Holy Family Diagnostic Centre in Sokoto, where they were welcomed bythe Director of the facility,  Sr. Ann. op,

The visitors were briefed on the centre’s vital role in providing quality and affordable medical diagnostics to underserved populations.

A statement by the Sokoto Catholic Diocese Director of Communications, Fr. Pascal Salifu, affirmed that
visit further strengthens the collaborative efforts between Hungary Helps and the Catholic Diocese of Sokoto in fostering development, education, and healthcare within the region.

“It reflects a shared commitment to human dignity and the empowerment of communities through sustainable initiatives”.
