In a bid to alleviate the burden of soaring commodity prices, Governor Dapo Abiodun announces Ogun State’s acquisition of 100 truckloads of rice to be sold at reduced rates to its residents.

During a gathering of stakeholders in Abeokuta, the governor revealed the state’s commitment to subsidising the cost of rice, ensuring it remains affordable amidst recent price hikes.

Addressing concerns over accessibility, Governor Abiodun pledges complimentary rice allocations for the less privileged segments of society, including the impoverished, elderly, and vulnerable.

Highlighting the government’s resolve, the governor assures Ogun State’s populace of sustained assistance while affirming President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s leadership and strategy in navigating economic challenges.

With a reassuring outlook, Governor Abiodun echoes Central Bank Governor Mr Yemi Cardoso’s promise of imminent stability, instilling hope for a foreseeable reduction in inflation and a subsequent decline in the value of the dollar.

Through proactive measures and collaborative efforts, Ogun State remains steadfast in its commitment to fostering resilience and prosperity within its communities.
