Davido, the Afrobeats star, appeared to have given Peruzzi his backing to take legal action against an X user who posted a “doctored” tweet about him.

On Tuesday, the X user shared a tweet claiming that Davido cut Peruzzi off because of his alleged affair with Chioma.

The X user also shared a screenshot showing that Peruzzi allegedly made an incriminating tweet about having a sexual relationship with Davido’s wife.

“We used to be so close but because you hear say I dey pipe your wife you start to give me attitude. I don leave your circle sha. Ungrateful n*gga like say if I no write your songs you for blow,” the tweet reads.

Reacting to the tweet in a series of posts via X, Peruzzi said the screenshot was doctored. The singer also vowed to take legal action against the troll.

Following Peruzzi’s threat, the X user apologised to the singer and took responsibility for the fabricated post.

“I apologize for posting an edited tweet which involved Peruzzi and Davido. I take full responsibility for all my actions have caused and I promise it will never happen again,” he wrote.

Reacting to his apology, Peruzzi said he would not forgive him, adding that the influencer should get ready to go to court.

Weighing into the matter, Davido suggested that the influencer should be locked in jail and the keys be thrown away.

Peruzzi started to gain prominence after he joined Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) in November 2017.

He, however, denied the allegations, describing it as “crazy and absurd”.
