Gunmen Kidnap Abuja-Bound Passengers in Nasarawa

Gunmen have abducted passengers traveling to Abuja from Enugu State, attacking an 18-seater bus in Nasarawa state.

DSP Ramhan Nansel, the Police Public Relations Officer, told Channels Television that the incident occurred at Doruwa village on the Nasarawa-Keffi road.

“On Friday night, we received information that an 18-seater bus was attacked and an unspecified number of passengers were abducted,” Nansel said.

Police and other security agencies launched an operation in response. “Three victims were rescued, and the vehicle was recovered to the police station,” Nansel added.

Nansel assured the public that search and rescue operations are ongoing to arrest the criminals and rescue the remaining victims.
