A press release from Chief Barrister Gebon Timothy Kataps, Secretary to the State Government, confirmed these appointments on Tuesday evening.

Hon. Janet Audu Nyajon, a distinguished correspondent for Daily Independent, brings over two decades of journalism experience. A Wukari native, she began her career in 2003 and has since become a celebrated writer, receiving numerous awards. Janet’s political ambitions saw her contesting for a seat in the Taraba State House of Assembly in both 2019 and 2023, inspiring many women in politics.

Mr. Justin Tyopuusu hails from Takum and has had a dynamic journalism career. Starting with National Accord Newspaper in Abuja in 2010, he later worked with Nigeria Sunrise Newspaper and National Mirror before joining PUNCH in 2017. His expertise is expected to greatly benefit Governor Kefas’s administration.

Both journalists, members of the correspondents’ chapel in the Taraba State Council of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), are anticipated to leverage their professional skills to enhance governance in Taraba State.
