Anthony Chiejina, spokesperson for Dangote Industries Limited, assured, “We have swiftly contained a minor fire incident at our effluent treatment plant (ETP), today Wednesday 26th of June.”

He emphasized that the incident was minor, adding, “There is no cause for alarm as the refinery is operating and there is no recorded injury or body harm to all our staff on duty.”

The Dangote refinery, inaugurated by former President Muhammadu Buhari in May 2023, began producing diesel and aviation fuel on January 12. With a capacity of 650,000 barrels per day, it continues to operate smoothly following the incident.
