Former DG NPC Flag off Donations of Lockers, Chairs , Books, Computers to Ankpa Schools

Immediate past Director General, National Productivity Centre NPC, Dr Kashim Akor NPOM FNIM has flagged off the donation of Education materials to schools in the three districts of Ankpa local government area in Kogi state.

The three districts schools which consisted of Ankpa, Enjema and Ojoku districts is to facilitate learning and extension of knowledge to the downtrodden in the society.

Dr Kashim Akor who promised to continue to contribute his quota to the development of the area, expressed confidence that education and knowledge was responsible for his higher feat he attained in life, even when he had no God father and Mother anywhere, but dint of hardwork.

He promised to continue to affect communities in Ankpa and beyond the shores of the area both in the economic and social development of Kogi state.

Dr Kashim Akor said the provision of empowerment items , capacity building, roads, water, and solar street lights across the Kogi east , schools and communities will be sustained providing the opportunities going forward.

He said the 27 schools earmarked for the flag off will be extended to other schools and communities, advising the school principals to ensure good use of the items donated.

“With the donations of 300 furnitures and other education items to the schools, he promised to continue to contribute his quota to the development of the society not only in education, but other areas.”

While flagging off the items, Alhaji Abdulmalik Umar thanks the donor for the supports, while urging both the private and public schools to make judicious use and equitable distributions of the items.

Highlights of the occasion included donation of items to 27 schools across the three districts of Ankpa local government supported by the donor and others well meaning indigenes of the local government area.

Responding on behalf of the private and public institutions in the area, Mr Ocheje Jonathan of St Charles College Ankpa and Akubo Timothy, Teemac private school encouraged well meaning individuals to contribute their quota by emulating the former Director General, Dr Kashim Akor.

While commending the laudable and social services of the donor, Dr Fabian Akpa , a lecturer of the department of Geology, Federal University Lokoja said his all round contributions has changed the face of development of both his immediate community and Kogi state large.
