In a startling incident that unfolded at the Head of Service Gate in Eagle Square during a joint operation, tempers flared as operatives of the Abuja Environmental Board clashed with a civil defence officer.
The skirmish began when the environmental board operatives allegedly began harassing local traders, prompting the civil defence officer to intervene.
In a heated exchange, the civil defence officer challenged the environmental team, pointing out that they were not the same individuals who had previously collected money from the traders.
The situation escalated when the Vehicle Inspection Officer (VIO) deputy director, who was part of the joint operation, made disparaging remarks towards the civil defence officer, calling them “stupid.”
In a swift response, the civil defence officer did not back down and retorted, which culminated in a shocking turn of events as she delivered a hot slap.
It is worth noting that the civil defence officer is officially attached to the Head of Service office, not to the ministerial task force, as previously reported.
This incident serves as a reminder of the challenges faced by law enforcement agencies during joint operations and highlights the need for professionalism and conflict resolution in such situations.
