He was adopted unopposed during a stakeholders’ meeting held in Katsina on Tuesday, April 28, following a consensus arrangement brokered by party leaders, including former Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Alhaji Ahmed Dangiwa.

Speaking after the adoption, Mannir Musa, APC Chairman for Mai’adua Local Government, urged party members to accept the outcome in good faith.

“I call on all our people to be obedient and embrace the consensus reached by the committee and stakeholders. We must work together for the unity and progress of the party and our community,” he said.

Musa also appealed to Katsina State Governor, Dikko Radda, to support aspirants who did not receive tickets, enabling them to continue serving their people. He further urged those selected through consensus to work diligently for their constituents if elected.

Other automatic candidates announced include Nasir Yahaya for the Daura senatorial seat, and Mustapha Musa for the Mai’adua constituency in the Katsina State House of Assembly.

In his remarks, Yusuf Buhari thanked party members for their confidence and pledged to provide quality representation if elected to the National Assembly.
