The Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner was bound for London’s Gatwick Airport when it tragically went down shortly after take-off, bursting into flames.
As reported by Ahmedabad Police Commissioner GS Malik, Ramesh, seated in 11A, is receiving medical attention for injuries to his chest, eyes, and feet. “Thirty seconds after take-off, there was a deafening sound and then the plane plummeted. It all unfolded so rapidly,” Ramesh shared with Indian media, reflecting on the terrifying experience.
Flight AI171 carried 242 passengers, comprising 169 Indian nationals, 53 British nationals, seven Portuguese nationals, and one Canadian. Unfortunately, over 204 bodies have been retrieved from the wreckage, and the death toll is anticipated to rise.
