Breaking News: Taraba South, Appeal Court Affirms Jimkuta As APC Senatorial Candidate

The Court of Appeal, Abuja, has affirmed Hon. David Jimkuta as the authentic candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Taraba South Senatorial District election slated for February 25, 2023.

The appellate court, in a unanimous decision upturned the judgement of a Federal High Court in Jalingo, which earlier recognises Hon. Danjuma Shidi, as candidate of the APC in the said senatorial poll.

The three judges of the Appeal court led by Justice Hamman Barka have set aside the high court judgement and all the prayers of Jimkuta has been upheld.

Jimkuta has been declared the lawful winner of APC southern Taraba primary election.

In his reaction Jimkuta has lauded the Appeal court judgement while thanking God for ensuring justice for the people of Taraba South,

It is my wish to be a leader with the fear of God, demonstrate the democratic tenet and deploy dividend of democracy to all areas in southern senatorial district in Taraba State. Let’s join hands as this project need a collective resolve from all of us, he said

JImkuta who is optimistic of winning the senatorial seat, says he will join hands with relevant agencies of government to reduce unemployment that is bedeviling the teeming youths of southern Taraba
