Engineer Seth Bakut has formally entered the race for the Zango Kataf/Jaba Federal Constituency House of Representatives seat, after obtaining his Nomination and Expression of Interest Forms from the national secretariat of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Abuja.
Accompanied by friends, supporters, and political associates, Bakut announced the move on Friday, calling it the start of a “collective journey” toward effective representation in the National Assembly.
“Today, in the company of my friends and supporters, I officially purchased my Nomination and Expression of Interest Forms at the National Secretariat of our great party, the ADC, to enable me to contest in the primaries,” he said.
Appealing to elders, constituents, stakeholders, and family, Bakut framed his aspiration as a service-driven mission, not a personal quest.
“I humbly beseech you to support this project. I pledge to be a fair, accessible, and people-oriented leader who will diligently represent our people in the Green Chamber when elected,” he stated.
Acknowledging the competitive political landscape, he stressed the need for unity and sustained voter engagement. “The task ahead is not easy, but together we can achieve it. I am simply asking for the opportunity to serve and provide quality representation,” he added.
Bakut confirmed that in the coming days he will unveil a manifesto focused on constituency development, youth empowerment, education, and inclusive governance.
Expressing optimism about the party primaries, he said his candidacy is rooted in grassroots engagement and service delivery. He thanked his supporters and urged continued backing as the campaign unfolds.
