In anticipation of the forthcoming clash against Nigeria in the Africa Cup of Nations quarter-finals, members of the Angola national team have received generous rewards in cash and gifts.

Fresh from their triumphant 3-0 victory against Namibia in the Round of 16, the Palancas Negras have been promised significant incentives, including monetary bonuses, if they progress to the final stage of the tournament.

According to reports from the Angola Press Agency, Banco Angolano de Investimento has pledged to award each player and coaching staff five million Kwanzas (approximately N5.41 million).

Aguinaldo Jaime, the President of the Board of Directors of UNITEL, a leading Angolan mobile phone company, has also gifted every member of the Angolan delegation an iPhone 15, complete with complimentary calls, SMS, and internet access for one year.

Furthermore, Sodiam EP has committed to providing a substantial sum of $250,000 to both the national team and technical staff if Angola secures a place in the final of the 34th edition of the Nations Cup.

The eagerly awaited encounter between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and Angola is set to take place at the Felix Houphouet-Boigny Stadium in Abidjan on Friday, February 2, 2024, at 6 pm.

Both teams enter this pivotal match boasting unbeaten records in the tournament, adding to the anticipation surrounding the showdown.
