In response to recent speculations regarding a potential coup, Mohammed Idris, the Minister of Information and National Orientation, vehemently refutes such claims, labelling them as blatant falsehoods aimed at sowing discord within the nation.

He emphasises that the allegations are entirely baseless and constitute a reprehensible form of misinformation.

According to Idris, these allegations stem from the malicious intentions of certain individuals seeking to destabilise the country and undermine the current administration’s efforts.

He reassures the public that the government remains steadfast in its commitment to ongoing reforms geared towards revitalising the economy and fostering prosperity for all citizens.

Addressing the issue further, Idris highlights the nefarious tactics employed by those behind the dissemination of false information, stressing the need for vigilance among the populace.

He underscores the government’s determination to uphold national security and safeguard the hard-won democracy of the nation through lawful means.

In light of these developments, Idris urges the public to exercise discernment and refrain from perpetuating the unfounded rumours circulating on certain compromised media platforms.

It is imperative, he asserts, to resist attempts aimed at undermining the fabric of the nation’s democracy.
