The announcement was made on Facebook by Patrick Ijiekhuamhen, who hailed the development as a landmark moment for the constituency and the party.

“History has been made in Onitsha North 1, Anambra State! For the very first time, the people have elected a candidate under the African Democratic Congress (ADC) — Justina Azuka,” he wrote.

The Azuka Campaign Team praised constituents for their peaceful participation and turnout during the polls, describing the win as a testament to the people’s democratic spirit.

They also acknowledged the encouragement of former Anambra governor, Peter Obi, noting his role in inspiring the campaign.

Azuka herself took to her official Facebook page to thank her supporters.
