Uba Sani for appointing Mr. Ben Kure as KSMC Managing Director. He publicly congratulated Mr. Ben Kure following his appointment as the Managing Director of the Kaduna State Media Corporation (KSMC). He described the appointment as not only well-deserved but also a major step towards boosting professionalism, accountability, and innovation within the state’s media ecosystem. He praised Mr. Kure’s vast experience, dedication, and integrity, stating that these qualities make him an ideal candidate to spearhead the transformation of KSMC.

According to Gen. Gora, the appointment of Mr. Kure represents a clear endorsement of competence over politics. He emphasised that Mr. Kure’s background in communications, media management, and public service places him in a strong position to deliver impactful leadership at KSMC. Having served in various media-related capacities over the years, Mr. Kure brings a deep understanding of journalistic values, ethical reporting, and the changing landscape of digital communication.

He stated, “Mr. Kure is a media visionary with a proven record of leadership. His comprehensive understanding of both traditional and digital media platforms makes him the right man for the job at this critical time. Under his direction, I believe KSMC will thrive as a modern and transparent public broadcaster serving the interests of Kaduna people.”

He also lauded Governor Uba Sani decision as a strategic and forward-thinking move that sends a message of hope to young professionals and aspiring media practitioners in the state.

“I sincerely commend the Kaduna State Government for making such a merit-based and visionary appointment,” He remarked. “At a time when public trust in institutions is being tested, putting capable and credible individuals like Mr. Kure in key leadership positions is the kind of bold decision we need to drive real change.”

“This decision will significantly impact the quality of public communication in Kaduna and elevate the state’s image in national discourse” Gen. Stated.

The Aspirant further made a passionate appeal to all stakeholders, including KSMC staff, media professionals, communication experts, and the public, to throw their weight behind the new Managing Director. He noted that the transformation of the media sector in Kaduna requires collaboration, cooperation, and a shared vision for progress.

He urged media practitioners across the state to embrace professionalism, ethics, and responsible journalism as KSMC enters a new era under Mr. Kure’s stewardship.

“The media community must rally around Mr. Kure and support him in repositioning KSMC as a credible, dynamic, and people-centred media institution,” Gora said. “The challenges may be many, but with collective effort, transparency, and commitment to the truth, we can restore public confidence in our state’s media institutions.”

According to Gen. Gora, leadership in the media sector is not just about managing content or platforms; it’s also about managing people, expectations, and the ever-evolving dynamics of public communication in a democratic society. As such, it requires patience, clarity, boldness, and most importantly, wisdom.
