The registration process will unfold in two stages. The initial phase begins with online pre-registration on August 18, 2025, available via INEC’s official portal: www.cvr.inecnigeria.org. Voters can complete their registration digitally before confirming it in person.

From August 25, 2025, in-person registration will be available at all INEC Local Government Area (LGA) offices and selected centres nationwide. This registration will occur from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.

The 2025 CVR initiative aims to increase voter engagement ahead of the next general elections. INEC advises applicants to check its official channels for updates on registration requirements and guidelines.
