A powerful coalition of All Progressives Congress (APC) support groups has thrown its weight behind Professor Kailani Muhammad as the preferred candidate for the party’s next National Chairman.

The Tinubu-Shettima Network (TSN), Confederation of APC Support Groups (CASG), and APC Support Groups Stakeholders (ASGS) made the endorsement following what they described as “a unanimous agreement among grassroots stakeholders nationwide.”

In a joint statement issued in Abuja, the coalition appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to appoint Prof. Kailani, citing his loyalty, vision, and unrelenting dedication to the party since its formative years.

“He is not just a name; he is the movement. He has served APC with a commitment that no one else can rival,” the statement read.

Kailani, who currently serves as the National Chairman of TSN and Director-General of CASG, was praised for his inclusive leadership style and active engagement with both registered and unregistered support groups across the country.

The support groups noted that Kailani’s leadership would bring renewed trust and energy to the APC structure, especially among its base supporters often neglected in decision-making.

According to the coalition, Prof. Kailani has been instrumental in the electoral victories of President Tinubu, APC governors, lawmakers, and local government officials by mobilising grassroots support nationwide.

They further argued that the North-Central geopolitical zone, where Kailani hails from, is due for the party’s top leadership position—a move they said would ensure equity and regional balance.

“This is not just an endorsement; it is a call for strategic leadership that reconnects the party with its grassroots engine room,” said Haj. Maimuna Aliyu Abdullahi of the Tinubu Foundation.

The coalition insisted that entrusting Prof. Kailani with the chairmanship would solidify internal party unity and lay a solid foundation for APC’s future electoral victories.

As party leaders weigh their options, the grassroots machinery has made its voice clear: Prof. Kailani Muhammad is their choice for the future of the APC.
