Aware of the fact that he was heading to a journey of no return, espeically that the calculations for 2027 election has begun underground, honourable Sani Yakubu Gudu, the House of Representative member representing Tangaza/Gudu Federal constituency, Sokoto has retraced his steps and tendered unreserved apology to the leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC) party in Sokoto, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko.

Hon. Sani Yakubu who personally went on the plea for forgiveness was and apology was accompanied to the Abuja residence of Senator Wamakko in the company of some of the Senator’s political trusted allies like, Ahmad Abdullahi Kalambaina, representing Wamakko/Kware Federal Constituency, Hon. Ibrahim Almustapha Aliyu, a representative from Rabah/Wurno Federal Constituency and Hon. Nasiru Shehu, representing Bodinga, Dange shuni and Tureta Federal Constituency.

Tendering his apology to both Senator Wamakko and governor Ahmed Aliyu, the federal lawmaker, Sani Yakubu said he regretted his attitude, which propelled him to disembark from the main APC family to sojourn with a paper weight dissident group who are all political benefactors of Senator Wamakko buy chose to bit the fingers that fed them now.

“I came back home to my father, whom I have been with for almost nineteen years now. I have no place to go, with or without politics.

” I regretted my attitude in the past, but Alhamdullahi, I came to apologize to my father, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko and my governor, Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto. This will not happen again. I am back to continue from where I stopped earlier “, Hon. Sani Yakubu assured.

Recalling with nostalgia how Senator Wamakko was helpful to his life even during his rebellious time, Sani Yakbu said, “When I found myself in the hand of bandits sometime ago, nobody was there to help me, except Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko who paid for my ransom leading to my rescued alive.

“I can also recall when my colleague Hon. Abdulkadir Jelani Danbuga from Isa/Sabon Birni Federal constituency fell sick at Abuja, there was no help from anybody, but when I called Senator Wamakko who quickly and graciously came to our help. He paid the hospital bill. And when unfortunately Danbuga passed away, I also called senator Wamakko again and he responded by connected me with a private jet pilot who brought the corpse from Abuja to Sokoto for burial “.

A statement by Senator Wamakko’s spokesperson, Bashar Abubakar recalled that the prodigal politician, Sani Yakubu who for some time now has been very vocal in criticizing the APC leadership in Sokoto began and won all his elective positions courtesy of Senator Wamakko endorsement and support.
