The incident, which occurred on Monday, 17th February 2025, began as a dispute over alleged acts of mischief attributed to some Fulani youths and quickly escalated into violence.th groups reportedly engaged in an exchange of bows and arrows before security operatives intervened to restore order.

Four members of the Hausa community sustained injuries and were rushed to Jahun General Hospital for treatment, while two Fulani individuals were found dead with bullet wounds, and another sustained gunshot injuries.

The police have deployed tactical teams to the area to prevent further escalation and have assured that discussions with community leaders and other stakeholders will commence immediately to foster peace and avert any recurrence of unforeseen situations.
