In his remarks, Dr. Matawalle highlighted key initiatives under his leadership, including the revival of the Defence Industries Corporation (DICON) and efforts to modernize Nigeria’s security training through international partnerships, including a recent visit to the United States.

The Minister commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration for prioritizing security and infrastructure development in the North.

He lauded the ongoing construction of a dual carriageway linking Zaria, Zamfara, Sokoto, and Kebbi states, describing it as a transformative project for the region.

Dr. Matawalle also emphasized the President’s initiatives to boost Zamfara’s mining sector, noting the economic benefits for local communities. “These efforts reflect a commitment to improving the welfare of our people,” he said.

Hon. Gusau and Hon. Mayanchi expressed their gratitude to the Minister for his dedication to public service and assured him of the unwavering support of Zamfara’s APC supporters.

The event underscored Dr. Matawalle’s growing influence within the party and his impact on national security.
