The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has condemned the attack on a Christmas market on Friday Dec. 20 in Magdeburg, Germany.
The ministry disclosed this in a statement issued by Kimiebi Ebienfa, Acting Spokesperson of the Ministry on Sunday in Abuja.
The statement expressed shock and sadness over the attack, which left five people dead and not less than 200 people injured.
“The Federal Republic of Nigeria wishes to express her sincere condolences to the Government and People of Germany following a car attack on a crowded Christmas market on Dec. 20, 2024 in Magdeburg, Germany.
“The unfortunate incident, which led to the death of five persons and over two hundred injured, is highly condemnable.
“Our thoughts are with the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany and the families of all those impacted by the dreadful action,” the ministry said.
