The governor urged them to follow laid down rules and avoid any act capable of tarnishing the image of the state and the country.

He charged them to use the opportunity to pray for the state and its leadership.

Earlier, Chairman of the State Muslim Welfare Board, Adam Chandy, disclosed that 502 faithful will be transported for the 2024 Hajj on Friday.

Chandy commended the state governor for his support, praying for the success of his administration and peaceful co-existence in the state.

In his remarks, the chairman of League of Imam and Alfas, Alhaji Ahmad Aladesawe, counselled the intending pilgrims to use the opportunity to learn more about Islam toward influencing the larger society. (NAN)
