In a powerful display of solidarity, all 109 senators representing the Federal Republic of Nigeria have chosen compassion over personal gain.

Their collective decision involves donating their entire December salaries, totaling a substantial N109 million, to aid the victims affected by the tragic ‘accidental’ bombing in Tudun Biri, situated in the Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Senator Barau I. Jibrin, the Deputy President of the Senate, made the heartfelt announcement during a significant gathering at the Kaduna Government House.

Leading a delegation of esteemed Senate members to the state, he emphasized their commitment to providing relief to those affected by the unforeseen tragedy.

The visiting senators were warmly welcomed by Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, who expressed gratitude for the senators’ swift and empathetic response.

This commendable initiative serves as a testament to the political leaders’ shared commitment to the well-being of the nation’s citizens.

The Kaduna State Government had previously disclosed that the Nigerian Army took responsibility for the accidental bombing in Tudun Biri.

The incident, occurring just last Sunday, resulted in the heartbreaking loss of at least 100 villagers.

The senators’ generous donation now stands as a beacon of hope for the affected families, demonstrating a united front against adversity.
