The event is designed to bring back happy moments and showcase the creativity that the “Land of Beauty” is known for.
Speaking to LEADERSHIP, Micheal Samuel said as Adamawa celebrates its choice of leadership, Socket Unplugged offers an opportunity to relieve the stress of the past few months and enjoy a night of fun and entertainment with family and friends.
“With Michael Samuel at the helm, you can be sure that Socket Unplugged will be an unforgettable experience for all,” he said adding that the efforts is to make the people happy.
Michael Samuel, also known as Socket CFR, is a talented stand-up comedian and entertainer who is bringing his unique brand of humour to Yola, Adamawa State. With his event, Socket Unplugged, Michael aims to promote smiles, laughter, and socialization while discouraging young adults from engaging in social vices. This year’s event promises to be even bigger and better than the last, with an expected attendance of over 3,000 young Nigerians between the ages of 17-30.

Unplugged Entertainment is proud to present the second season of Socket Unplugged, a one-of-a-kind entertainment concept that brings talented performers from across Nigeria to the beautiful city of Yola, Adamawa State. The event is scheduled for June 11th, 2023 at the Lelewal Event Centre and promises to be a night of laughter, good vibes, and unforgettable memories.
Socket Unplugged is the brainchild of Michael Samuel, popularly known as Socket CFR.
Born in Adamawa State and hailing from the Esan-West local government area of Edo State, Socket is a graduate of Theatre and Media Arts from Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma.
He is a stand-up comedian, brand strategist, content creator, and talent manager who is committed to bringing the community together through live comedy.
The event aims to promote smiles, laughter, and socialization while discouraging young adults from engaging in social vices such as drug abuse, cultism, cybercrime, and armed robbery.
With an average audience age between 17-30, the past events have had in attendance over 3,000 young Nigerians.
The event hopes to entertain and educate, as it is seen as a tool to tackle social vices in society.
The Socket Unplugged event is set to showcase a wide array of comedic performances from some of Nigeria’s most sensational creatives. This multi-lingual event aspires to be the best comedy event in Nigeria, promoting the country’s cultural diversity.
The past season featured talented comedians, and the second season promises to be even more engaging.
