Unknown gunmen suspected to be kidnappers on Monday night abducted the House of Assembly candidate of Accord Party in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Constituency II in Rivers State, Chukwudi Ogbonna.
LEADERSHIP gathered that Ogbonna was kidnap while driving in his car in the Rumuigbo axis of Obio/Akpor local government area of the state.
A close relative of the politician, Ifeaka Nwakiri, confirmed the ugly development to newsmen in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.
Nwakiri said: “They took him with his Mercedes Benz car. We have reported the matter at the Kala Police station.”
However, the Rivers State Police Command is yet to issue any statement on the development.
