The training which is designed for 65 participants in the state is to train the beneficiaries on Record Keeping, Marketing, Management of Workers, Purchasing and Stock Control, Cash Management, Business Ethics, Costing of Products and Services among others.

Speaking at the official flag-off of the training in Taraba, the Director General of NDE, Abubakar Nuhu Fikpo, who was represented by the Taraba state coordinator, Alhaji. Danjuma Shehu stated the importance of skills acquisition and Small Scale Enterprises (SSE).

Fikpo said most developed countries did not become big through big corporations but they also started with SSE.

In his words, he said “ It is with great pride I great you participants on this occasion, pertinent to this time to inform you that most progressive nations of the world did not achieve economic prosperity because of the large corporations that exist therein but through the small scale businesses based in the informal sector that provides employment for the majority of their populace.

“It is for this reason that NDE encourages the formation of small businesses through its Enterprise Creation Schemes and supports their success through the provision of business management training,” Fikpo said and enjoined the participants to take their training seriously to maximize the benefit accruing to it” he said.
