…Says no government done better than PMB’s administration since Independent

The Federal Government has expended the sum of thirty four billion, four hundred and sixty four million, one hundred and fifty four thousand naira (N34, 464, 154. 00) to the poor and vulnerable members of the society, through its four cluster programmes of the National Social Investment Programme in Nasarawa State.
This Development, however rated high the government of President Muhammadu Buhari as the most impactful administration that has supported and invested more in poor and vulnerable persons in the history of Nigeria since independent.
Sadiya Umar Farouq, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, stated this on Saturday, during the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential campaign rally in Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital.
The Minister who called on Nigerians, especially the poor and the vulnerable group to voted APC and it presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the coming election to enable them consolidate the gains for the benefit of all.
Farouq however thanked Mr. President for the various interventions to the people, and for giving women the opportunity to serve in his government.
She said, as one who represent the poor and vulnerable people of this country, who are mainly beneficiaries of the National Social Investment Programme, “we appreciate Mr. President for he good things he has done to us in this country”.
According to Farouq, “under the National Social Investment Programme, we have four clusters; the N-Power programme, conditional Cash Transfer programme, which give 2 million households N5,000 monthly and N30,000 to the only 1.5 unemployed youths.
“We have been able to target small and medium entrepreneurs and give them oft loans at interest free from N50,000 to N300,000 for them to start their businesses.
“Under this programme, we also feeeds primary 1 to 3 school pupils meals, mainly on school days. We have almost close to 10 million of these pupils. These are all either parents of this pupils who received N5,000 monthly or those who we give N30,000 to teach our children and cook.
“Let me state here that, since independent, no government has done what you have done to poor people of this country. No government, without fear of contradiction. You have done so much for the poor and vulnerables.
“In Nasarawa State alone, we give 21,733,260 empower beneficiaries N30,000 monthly. For the GEEP programme, we have 5,029 in Nasarawa State. For the Homegrown Feeding Programme, we have 198,368 pupils that we are feeding. For the conditional Cash Transfer, we have 144,000 households that we give N5000 each monthly.
“If you total the money that we have ejected in these programmes in Nasarawa State is thirty four billion, four hundred and sixty four million, one hundred and fifty four thousand naira (N34, 464, 154. 00),” Sadiya Umar Farouq said.
