The Allied People’s Movement (APM) has released its primary election framework for all elective positions ahead of the 2027 general elections, opting for a direct and consensus-based process.

In a statement jointly signed by National Chairman Alhaji Yusuf Mamman Dantalle and National Secretary Oyadeyi Ayodele Adebayo, the party confirmed that the decision aligns with Section 84(2) of the Electoral Act 2026. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has been duly notified.

According to the APM, candidates for the Presidency, Governorship, National Assembly (Senate and House of Representatives), and State Houses of Assembly will be endorsed through voting by card-carrying members of the party.

The party further disclosed that it would adhere strictly to electoral guidelines at all levels—ward, local government, state, and national—ensuring a transparent and uniform process across the federation.

Details of the timetable and schedule of activities are to be released in due course.
