Kai Havertz scored the game’s only goal in the 37th minute, heading home a Bukayo Saka corner to secure three vital points for Mikel Arteta’s side. The result takes Arsenal’s season tally to 82 points—five clear of second-placed Manchester City, who have a game in hand against Bournemouth on Tuesday.
The Gunners could be crowned champions without kicking another league ball should City fail to win their midweek fixture.
Speaking after Monday’s match, Arteta thanked the fans for their unwavering support throughout the season and expressed anticipation for the final two games against Crystal Palace and the upcoming UEFA Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain.
