In a statement issued on 18 April 2026, the Command detailed a series of raids that yielded significant arrests and seizures.

On 15 April at approximately 22:23 hours, operatives from the Oghara Division raided a drug hideout in Ugholo community. Police arrested 33-year-old Justina Onokpasa, a female suspect, at the scene.

Recovered items included two large bags of substances suspected to be Canadian Loud, 300 small cans of the same, 30 bottles of CSC codeine, ten sachets of tramadol, two sachets of ‘Super Royal’ (Redboy), 12 sachets of Swinol, 12 pieces of molly drugs, and 400 empty distribution cans. Investigations are ongoing.

In a separate operation on 16 April at about 11:45 hours, the State Anti-Cult Unit raided drug spots in Abraka, arresting three suspects. Large quantities of weed believed to be Indian hemp and other illicit substances were recovered.

All suspects remain in custody.

Commissioner of Police, Yemi Oyeniyi, praised the operatives and vowed to sustain the crackdown. He urged the public to support the police with credible intelligence, describing the raids as part of a sustained effort to combat drug trafficking and related crimes across Delta State.
